Margaret Bryan Proctor, 66, of Little Rock passed away August 5, 2012. She was born in Scottsdale, Arizona but located with her family to Fort Smith at a very early age. Margaret graduated from Fort Smith High School and attended George Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee.  For several years she was a stewardess for American Airlines based out of New York City and Nashville.  During the last 25 years, Margaret worked for Our Lady of the Holy Souls School in various capacities, most recently as a third grade teacher's aide, a job that she truly loved.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Florence Bryan of Fort Smith.  She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jim Proctor; son Russ (Heather) Proctor of Bryant; daughter Kerri (Jordan)May of El Paso, Texan; two grandchildren, Greyson Girdler of Bryant, and Maggie May of El Paso.  She also leaves behind four sisters, Shirley Shumate of Nashville, Tennessee, Judy Titsworth of Fort Smith, Candi Russell of Little Rock and Becky (Chuck) Jeffers of Alma, along with six nieces and six nephews.

Some of the greatest times of her life were spent sunning on the beaches of Destin, decorating her home for the holidays, and attending the live horse racing season at Oaklawn.  Her most prized possessions were her family and many friends and her work with the students at Holy Souls School.

Margaret was a childhood friend from DuVal days, Brownies, Girl Scouts.. with Mrs.Miller as our Girl Scout Leader.  Then Darby 7th  and 8th grades and so much fun on our lunch hour.  We didn't have too many classes together after Darby, but, we kept in touch, when possible, at Northside too.  We had so many laughs together/and, I cannot remember laughing as hard with any of my childhood friends as we did.  I have a great color picture of our DuVal group taken at the 40th reunion in 2003.  Margaret and my good friend Becky Williams are both in it with me.  It is framed and in a special place in our home and will be posted on this website too.  So many memories that will live on forever and so very glad I got to see them again in 2003.  Margaret is one gal that I will always treasure to have known.  RIP dear friend.
