I met Linda as a senior at what was Fort Smith Senior High.  It was my only

year to attend as a transfer student.  She was a very mature and thoughtful

junior who introduced me to the german club and helped so much the adjustment to the new school.  Our communication continued while we were

students at the U. of Ark.  The world is a better place because she was here.

I saw Linda's art on Facebook two years ago sent her a message to say how wonderful it was.  Afterward we talked for hours on the telephone about her research and teaching in languages, her worldwide travel, her son, and her painting.  I'm so sorry to find that she died.  I did not know.
