Carol D. Farrar, 71, of Fort Smith, died June 4, 2017 in Fort Smith. She was born June 10, 1945 in Fort Riley, KS to Nick and Margaret Osborn Frishkey. She was a legal secretary for the Center of Arkansas Legal Services for 36 years, an active volunteer for United Way, and she was a member of Evangel Temple Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Worden of Fort Smith; one son, Kevin Worden of Fort Smith; one sister, Sandra Slay of Texas; one brother, Garry Frishkey of Texas; four grandchildren, Briannah Johnson, Alyssah Johnson, Shakor Johnson and Madelynn Worden; and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Farrar. 

Funeral service will be Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Evangel Temple with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery of Fort Smith all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brad Carter, Kenneth McKinney, Brian Dougan, Mark Martin, Ian McLemore, and Hamid Phillips.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-3 pm.
