Paula Elaine Platner passed away October 21, 2022 at her home in Broken Arrow. She was 77. A Celebration of Life honoring Paula is currently pending.
Born September 27, 1945 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Paula was the daughter of Warren and Lois (Lee) Renfrow. She was raised in the Ft. Smith area, learning her skills as an equestrian from an early age. Paula enjoyed both hunter-jumper and western disciplines.
Paula attended nursing school in Little Rock and took a lot of pride in her profession as a registered nurse. She never worked without her dignity hat and immaculate uniform. Paula retired as a pediatric charge nurse in Broken Arrow.
Paula’s career in healthcare led her to meet Dr. Robert Platner in October of 1998. It was truly love at first sight and the couple married September 9, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Surviving family include her husband, Dr. Robert Platner; her children: Leigh Berryhill and husband, Leonard of Berryhill Quarter Horses, Ryan Platner, and Shannon Ryan; grandchildren, Thompson Berryhill and wife, Mandie, and Sarah Settgast and husband, T.J.
