Nancy Rockwood Wilson died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at home. She was born Oct 25, 1945 in Fort Smith to the late Richard Glenn Rockwood and Helen Lairamore Rockwood. She graduated from Northside High School in Fort Smith in 1963 and received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Hendrix College in 1967. She taught second grade at Fuller Elementary School in the Pulaski County Special School District from 1967 until 1970. Her principal life's work was providing a wonderful home for her family, one in which visitors always felt very comfortable. She always, always had a good book going and loved to share them. She was a gardener, an excellent cook and a grandmother beyond compare. She previously volunteered at the Arkansas Museum of Science and History, the Arkansas Arts Center and the Little Rock Public Schools. She was a faithful blood donor for many years, donating a total of 91 units. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dr. Frank James Wilson Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Wilson Rogers; son-in-law Christopher Lyle Rogers; grandson, Grady James Rogers; a sister, Elizabeth Rockwood Casbeer and her husband of Forrest City; brother, Richard Glenn Rockwood, Jr. of Greer, S.C.; along with a niece, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family thanks the superlatively competent and compassionate staff of Arkansas Hospice for their care. Memorials may be made to the AETN Foundation, 350 S.
