Barbara Butcher
1945-12-03 2005-12-21Barbara Butcher, 60, of Ft. Smith, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2005 in Fort Smith, AR.
She was a member of First Church of God and worked for the City of Ft. Smith for 28 years.
Funeral services were at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial at Roselawn Cemetery, all under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
She was survived by her fiance Jim Martin of Ft. Smith, and many friends.
Barbara was a dedicated employee for the Department Sanitation for the past 28 years. She was chosen Employee of the Year by her co-workers several times. She proudly served the City of Fort Smith and was a very reliable employee. She had a great love for animals. Barbara will be missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Sam McGrew, Cecil Perkins, Roger Guinn, Robert Marx, James Neal, Jr. and Baridi Nkokheli. Honorary pallbearers will be The Employees of The Department of Sanitation.
I knew Barabara from DuVal Days and through Darby and Northside. She was a really sweet person, good friend during those early years. She was a very smart gal too. I know she really strived to make the good grades she did. She also was a real aninmal lover and had one of the sweetest smiles ever!
