BILL HALLSTED

William E. Hallsted passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Ft Smith of Cancer.

He was born September 20, 1943, in Fort Smith where he lived all his life. Bill was the owner of Hallsted Inc.  He was a licensed Mechanical Contractor in Plumbing, Electrical, Heat/ Air (HVAC).  He was also the owner of Hallsted Properties. He taught classes in Plumbing School in the past. He was a Christian & attended First Baptist Church, Fort Smith.

He was current President of River Valley Model A Club, Past President of the Fort Smith Antique Automobile Club, and was a current member.  He loved Antique cars and had several in his collection. He especially loved his 56 T-Bird and 1929 Model A Roadster pickup.  He loved his 03 Harley-Davidson Anniversary Edition bike, truck, and trailer.  Bill and Pat loved to travel every chance they could.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years Pat of the home.

Preceded in death by Parents Ed Hallsted and Ruby (Lovett) Hallsted.

Survived by one daughter Sandy Gilkey, one brother Thell Hallsted (Sherry) Ft Smith, and three sisters Janiece Blount (James) of Forsyth, MO, Bettie Scaggs of Rudy, AR, and Iva Clearwater of Fort Pierce, FL.

One grandson Tyler Roe (Kelsey) of Barling, AR and two great grandchildren, Marley & Presley Roe, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, August 26th at 1 P.M. at Lewis Funeral Home, Kelley Highway, Ft Smith, AR.  Visitation will be Friday,  August 25th from 5-7 P.M.  Interment  will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Jerry Boyd, Steve Mitchell, Perry Jones, Curtis DeArmond, Carl Albertson, and Gary Baldwin

Honorary Pallbearers: Rick Vandermillion, Gary DeArmond, Ron Plunkett, and members of the Fort Smith Antique Auto Club.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
