Johnny Lee Hartsfield 78, of Hot Springs village passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 24th, 2023.

He was born in Ft. Smith, Ark., on April 23, 1945. John lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end and touched many lives along the way. John retired from a 30 year career in the elecrical business.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sheila; one brother, Bruce Hartsfield of Fayetteville, Ark.; two sons, John, Jr. and Bob, both of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Haley, Zac, Shawn, Reid, Lauren, Alec; and four great-grandchildren. John never met a stranger, loved to play golf, traveling around the world, watching his Dallas Cowboys, and he always had a smile on his face.  A private family service will be held at a later date.   Published December 29th, 2023.

Robert Meek Jr.

Robert Stanhope Meek Jr. died Nov. 6, 2019, in Fort Smith after a long illness. He was the son of Robert Stanhope Meek and Sarah (Sallie) Elizabeth Dean Meek. Born in Savannah, Ga., he moved with his family to Fort Smith at an early age.

Bob was a page at the Washington office of Sen. William Fulbright. He graduated from Fort Smith High School and Davidson College in Davidson, N.C. He then served with distinction in the Vietnam War.

Bob worked for many years as co-general partner of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Fort Smith. He regarded his colleagues there as family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Anne Meek Werne...

He was a retired employee of South Western Bell Telephone and he worked for Baytown Brokerage. He is survived by his sister Gala Lynch of Fort Smith, AR.,

William "Bill" Nelson Moreland, 72, of Fort Smith, passed from this life Jan 8,  in Fort Smith. He was born, Nov. 2, 1945, in Texarkana, Texas to the late Earl Wesley and Lula Chambliss Moreland.

He is survived by two daughters, Leslie Purcell and her husband Shon of Broken Arrow, OK., and Shannon Carroll and her husband Jason of Springdale, AR.; One Brother, John Wesley Moreland of Fort Smith; his five Grandchildren: Colin, Connor and Cooper Purcell, and Brice and Reid Carroll, as well as his nieces, Marlowe Dean and Kristin Rains. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jackie and Tommy Moreland.
