Time goes by as if it was the blink of an eye.  When we were young, it seemed to take forever for Christmas, our Birthday or Summer Vacation to come.  But now they roll around much too fast, whether we want them to or not!

I was living in a suburb of Chicago and lived there from 1999-2023, and just moved back to Ark.  I am divorced, twice, and have 2 great daughters and 4 grandkids.  I am retired.

I used to love working in my yard, but now I’m in an apartment.  I used to love to do all kinds of needlework, but after 13 Christmas stockings and many more projects, I feel a little burned out.  I used to love to snow ski, but my ole knees say “no” now.  I still love to travel or revisit places that are worth a 2nd look.  I discovered audio books about 15 years ago, and like to listen to them while driving, or reading books on my computer.  And, online jigsaw puzzles help me to relax before bed.  Of course who doesn’t enjoy a good movie with buttered popcorn!

I look forward to seeing faces I may or may not recognize…those name tags with school pictures will be a lifesaver!  Sometimes I look in the mirror and wonder who in the world that old lady is looking back at me!!  Also I look forward to catching up on memories of the past, along with conversations of the here and now.  All of us have had a life journey of some kind…hard or easy, calm or chaotic.  That’s life!  Old friends like to hear about it all!

I have two beautilful daughters, one in Bentonville, Ar, and the other in The Woodlands, TX, and five brilliant grandchildren, ages 16 months, 11, 12, 13, and 14.  After graduating from Baylor University, I taught high school English for nine years in Texas and Rogers, AR.  I then attended law school at the U of A, receiving my JD in 1979.  For the next thirty-one years, I worked for the Office of Chief Counsel for the IRS, in Dallas for 20 years and then in Houston, primarily litigating and supervising the litigation of large corporate cases.  I retired in 2010 and now stay very busy doing not very much.  I enjoy travel, music, reading and playing with the grandkids.

I am currently earning my PhD in Retirement!  That requires me to drink more coffee, eat more chocolate and drink more wine.  Difficult course work!  I am married to my soul mate with two gorgeous daughters and two granddaughters.

I taught elementary school and piano.   I am a 17 year, 3 1/2 month cancer survivor...but who counts?!!  LOVE gardening, bridge, music, sewing, reading and cooking.  I am a Christian, Lutheran, and a conservative.   I cannot wait to see everyone!

After graduation I attended UAFS for a few semesters and then decided to follow in my fathers footsteps in the field of commercial refridgeration. This path lead me into the commercial/industrial  mechcanical contracting industry that I am still remain active with today. I married Ft Smith native and St Annes (64) graduate Katie Porta and this past June celebrated 48 years of a wonderful marrage. Life has been good to us. We have three children, Rhonda, Alan and Jamie and five grandchildren. We enjoy traveling and over the years we have been fotunate to have the opportunity to visit many areas of the world and all of the great United States. I still find time to hunt, fish and play a little golf. Love to cook and and of course follow the Razorbacks.
