Johnny Lee Hartsfield 78, of Hot Springs village passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 24th, 2023.

He was born in Ft. Smith, Ark., on April 23, 1945. John lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end and touched many lives along the way. John retired from a 30 year career in the elecrical business.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sheila; one brother, Bruce Hartsfield of Fayetteville, Ark.; two sons, John, Jr. and Bob, both of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Haley, Zac, Shawn, Reid, Lauren, Alec; and four great-grandchildren. John never met a stranger, loved to play golf, traveling around the world, watching his Dallas Cowboys, and he always had a smile on his face.  A private family service will be held at a later date.   Published December 29th, 2023.

Funeral for Judy Sullivan Feller, 56, of Barling, who died Thursday, March 14, 2002, was at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Edwards Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with Rev. Steve Holyfield officiating.  Burial was at Coal Hill Cemetery.


Memorials may be made to the Crisis Center for Women, 401 Lexington Avenue, Ft. Smith, AR 72901. She was the daughter of the late Weda Faye Brasher Sullivan, native of San Diego, CA., and a member of Barling United Methodist Church.

Rosalyn (Becky) Margaritis, 66, passed away November 28, 2011. She was born January 30, 1945 in Fort Smith Arkansas. Becky was employed for AAA Insurance for over 35 years before retiring. On November 28, 1991 she married George Margaritis. She enjoyed reading books, crossword puzzles, golf and tennis. She really enjoyed the outdoors. Becky loved to go four-wheeling and she liked gardening. After retiring she volunteered with the Hospice program until her own illness started to prevent her from volunteering. Wilson Leon Wood, 75, of Mulberry, AR passed away on December 27, 2019. He was born December 11, 1944 in Bremerton, WA to Woodrow Wilson and Juanita Bernice Wood. He is preceded in death by his parents. 



Leon worked for the Fort Smith Fire Department from October 1968 until March 2000. At the time of his retirement, he served as the Battalion Chief.

Visitation will be 6-7:30 pm Thursday at Lewis Funeral Chapel, in Fort Smith
