Johnny Lee Hartsfield 78, of Hot Springs village passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 24th, 2023.

He was born in Ft. Smith, Ark., on April 23, 1945. John lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end and touched many lives along the way. John retired from a 30 year career in the elecrical business.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sheila; one brother, Bruce Hartsfield of Fayetteville, Ark.; two sons, John, Jr. and Bob, both of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Haley, Zac, Shawn, Reid, Lauren, Alec; and four great-grandchildren. John never met a stranger, loved to play golf, traveling around the world, watching his Dallas Cowboys, and he always had a smile on his face.  A private family service will be held at a later date.   Published December 29th, 2023.

Bertha Sue Storment, 67, of Alma, AR, passed from this life on December 9, 2012 in Fort Smith. She was born November 8, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Bose and Luzelle Brown. She was a retired Bookkeeper from Dale Crampton Company and of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Barbara Smith.



Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Todd Rowland officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

Margaret Bryan Proctor, 66, of Little Rock passed away August 5, 2012. She was born in Scottsdale, Arizona but located with her family to Fort Smith at a very early age. Margaret graduated from Fort Smith High School and attended George Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee.  For several years she was a stewardess for American Airlines based out of New York City and Nashville.  During the last 25 years, Margaret worked for Our Lady of the Holy Souls School in various capacities, most recently as a third grade teacher's aide, a job that she truly loved.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marian “Kaye” McClellan, age 79, on January 28, 2025. Kaye was born on July 25, 1945, to Thell and Greta Buell. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, whose life was defined by her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and her faith.

Betty Rhodes, 73, of Fort Smith, passed away Thursday, Jan, 17, 2019, at a local hospital. She was born June 13, 1945, in Woodland, Calif. She was a retired registered nurse and had worked at Sparks Hospital and Peachtree Hospice. Betty was the happiest while working in her flower beds and spending time with her family.



She was preceeded in death by her parents, Wiles and Libby Sue Compton; one brother Mike Eidson.
